Political Advertising Project!

Project Timeline:
May 1 (F):
View and discuss political advertisements as a class. Record notes on Discussion Questions handout.
May 4 (M) :
In lab, use MMI archives to view advertisements in groups and answer questions on your group's page on the class wiki.
May 5-6 (T-W):
Research candidates and issues in the 2008 9th congressional district campaign. Start with research links at right. Make sure you are prepared to cite quotes and other information.
May 7-11 (Th-M):
Using the class wiki, create a script for your ad. Gather and/or create images and sounds. For detailed instructions, click here.
May 12-17 (Tu-Sun):
Use Movie Maker to produce your ad. Post it on TeacherTube (use the class id and password) and put link on the class wiki . I will post all ads on this blog for comment. For detailed instructions, click here.
May 18 (M):
View and comment on ads from at least two other groups. Use these reflection questions as a guide for your comments.
May 19 (Tu):
Discussion and wrapup.
